To build awareness for the autonomous data-to-AI platform, BigQuery, we partnered with Google Cloud to create a series of sharp, attention-grabbing films. Crafted with hyper-targeted messaging, we dug into the realities of our audience: busy IT professionals juggling an increasingly tangled web of problems and processes.
The first films, released in January 2025, generated standout engagement. But we were eager to push further, aiming for an even sleeker, more impactful second round to spotlight BigQuery’s powerful agentic capabilities.
Keeping our audience front and centre, we built messaging hooks around provocative questions that echo their own thoughts. In a space crowded with dry, clinical marketing, this wink-and-nod approach signals that BigQuery sees developers and IT pros as people; not just cogs in the machine.
Every aspect of the films – from music selection to motion style – was carefully selected to work harmoniously with the on-screen text, telling a complete, compelling story in just 30 seconds. Visual shorthands for automation add charming flourishes throughout the films by creating connections, while arrows and directive motion steer viewers through each story.
Highlights – Films achieved double views based on previous Google Cloud campaigns and double the industry benchmark for engagement.
