Ungifted

ABOUT

Every year, offices around the world engage in the ritual of Secret Santa. If you're lucky, you might pull a friend's name out of the stocking, but more likely, you'll be scrambling to find something cheap and cheerless on your commute for a coworker you've never spoken to that's destined to end up in the bin.

We rebelled with Ungifted - an improved alternative to Secret Santa, stripping it of its wastefulness and replacing it with thoughtfulness. Ungifted invites people to give their colleagues something meaningful instead of material. Like watering their office plant for a week or treating them to a surprise burrito.

Working closely with our friends at Do the Green Thing, we developed Ungifted into a wonderful opportunity for office interaction. Through the Ungifted website, employees are randomly assigned a colleague and are given a range of fabulous, preset gift ideas to choose from, or the option to create their own.

We called on strategy, creative and design to make an experience which is fun and shareable. This included a quirky launch video and a hilarious set of GIFs. We even developed an additional experience - bringing everyone together for a "gift reveal" event - turning a clever idea into an enjoyable gathering for any team.
