ABOUT
To give art enthusiasts a first look at the Tate Modern’s new Switch Extension, we worked with the museum to create four interconnected, abstract films exploring the architectural textures of the space.
The films take people on a journey through Tate Modern’s past, present and future with each piece representing a different state of matter: plasma, air, solid and liquid.
To the soundtrack of a specially composed track by Sigur Rós, viewers seamlessly switch between the films at their discretion. No matter when a switch is made, the footage and music remain harmonious, creating an immersive experience which speaks to users' senses.
Offering four distinct visual paths - Liquid, Solid, Plasma and Air - unique experiences through the building can be crafted, switching between states of matter.
