Everything Everything: Re-Animator

Fans have come to expect Everything Everything's videos to be as idiosyncratic as their music. "Arch Enemy", the second release from their upcoming Re-animator album, takes the viewer on a journey through sewers filled with dancing humanoid forms of waste to meet the King of Oil: a mass of dancing, congealed grease.

To help people become part of this enticing scenario, we built an Instagram lens which swaps the King of Oil's eyes and nose with their own, so fans can see what they look like as fatberg royalty. We also included mouth tracking, enabling the animated mound of fat to swing its jaw open and closed as fans sing along to the song.

As an extra, the lens allows people to render a dancing fatberg wherever they want, so they too can bow down before the King of Oil.

The opportunity to become a royal fatberg was seized by many, with the lens making more than 32k impressions within a month of launch.
